The Tenner Feast Ten Second Guide: The Royal Crescent Hotel

The Tenner Feast Ten Second Guide: The Royal Crescent Hotel
Where is it? The Dower House Restaurant at the Royal Crescent Hotel, 16 Royal Crescent.
What’s on offer? Local mussels with lemon mayonnaise, dipping bread and fries, washed down with half a pint of Bath Gem ale.
Is it any good? My goodness, yes. The mussels were beautifully cooked and the white wine sauce absolutely delicious. I’m usually more of a wine drinker, but the ale paired perfectly with the food. The portions were also very generous.
Why this place? It’s one of the most beautiful dining locations in Bath – the garden is an oasis of tranquillity, and although we were sitting inside, we had a gorgeous view. I must also mention the excellence of the service here – it’s hard to beat.
Marks out of ten? 10 – I couldn’t fault it. What else would you expect from the Royal Crescent Hotel?
