The Tenner Feast Ten Second Guide: The Cowshed

Where is it? The Cowshed, 5 Bladud Buildings.
What’s on offer? A lunchtime special for £10 – steak sandwich, fries and a béarnaise sauce, with a choice of tea or coffee to accompany it.
Is it any good? Definitely – the steak is beautifully cooked and served on crusty ciabatta with fresh rocket. The fries are crispy and the béarnaise sauce was heaven – I finished every drop.
Why this place? The Cowshed Bath, along with the original Bristol Cowshed, is supplied by partner business Ruby and White, one of Bristol’s best butchers. This means they’re in control of the steak from field to fork, and it really shows up in the quality.
Marks out of ten? 8. The food is really good, but I think I’d have preferred a cold drink option to go with it. Good coffee though.
