Tagine Zhor brings a seductive piece of Moroccan culture to the ancient Roman city of Bath. The restaurant is located on a pretty pedestrian street only a stone’s through away from the iconic Roman baths, therma spa, tourism information centre, Bath train and Bus stations.

Tagine Zhor formally called “Cafe du Globe” run by the Casablancan Moroccan born owner “Mr Mostafa Benjelloun”. He takes pride in his Moroccan fez cuisine because it is based on traditional recipes that have been passed down from his loving fez born grandmother “zhor” to him. It is the only authentic Moroccan restaurant in Bath and probably in the whole South West of England. The perfect place to experience real Moroccan food cooked and served to perfection in absolute beautiful surroundings.
From the moment you walk through the door you are transported into the real world of North Africa. You will be surrounded by the sun baked terracotta walls, handcrafted Moroccan ceiling lights, Bone encrusted Moroccan mirrors, traditional handmade painting, intricately carved wood arch, beautiful Mosaic stone panel attractive wall and floor lights, candlelight, while relaxing on chairs upholstered in Berber script, and Soft cushioned seating. Every of aspect of the decor is a labour of love.
Tagine Zhor is a striking destination for corporate clientele, day trippers or busy shoppers inspired by Moroccan interiors. Authentic home style Moroccan cuisine is featured in our famous 2 course set lunch menu that offers excellent value or our brand new ala carte menu both accompanied by discreet but excellent service.
Lunch is served from 11.30 am to 3.00pm every day. Take away orders accepted from 11.30 till 10pm every day except Saturdays.
In the early evening
Tagine Zhor is a perfect place for aperitifs, nibbles, hot or cold mezzes, Cocktails, Shisha with Mint tea and Baklawas and of course our fantastic 2 course menu including a glass of house wine. This is an ideal menu for pre theatre, comedy walk, or heading home after a long day shopping.
Early dinner is served from 5pm to 6.30pm every day except Saturdays and any holidays.
At 7pm Tagine Zhor becomes alive the light dims and the music pulses. Our menu has been created to offer a great experience whether you are celebrating a birthday, wedding anniversary, a romantic evening out, entertaining clients or just fun with friends and families. A menu for sharing and brought to the table in the most traditional manner of the Moroccan home. My highly skilled staff will be delighted to assist you with some explanation of some unfamiliar dishes.
