Will Cruickshank: Way Station

May 25 @ 10:00 am - June 30 @ 4:00 pm

Free

Way Station is a solo exhibition by Will Cruickshank, who creates tactile and often textile-based sculptures that are visually harmonious in form, pattern and colour. Using repurposed equipment such as cement mixers, bicycles and potter’s wheels, his practice harnesses the repeating nature of these machines to sculpt, wrap and turn his materials into forms that are only in part determined by himself. Material, machine and maker, each take their turn in leading or resisting outcomes and it is a sensitivity to this push and pull that drives the work.

OPENING TIMES

10am – 5pm, Wednesday – Saturday

11am – 4pm, Sundays during the Summer months (from 26 May – 8 September 2024)

(or if you would like to visit outside of these times, please contact us to make an appointment)

The gallery is situated in a former Methodist church at the junction where the High Street meets Shute Lane/Wyke Road and Cole Road. Free parking is available on the High Street and the town’s public car parks.
