Widcombe Art Trail

2017 is the Art Trail’s eleventh year and it is bigger and better
than ever! While some exhibitors have been involved since the
beginning, many others are new to the Trail this year, bringing even
more variety to the enticing array of artworks on show. For many of
its hundreds of visitors, the Widcombe Art Trail is an annual
pilgrimage, a chance to support local artists and makers, as well as
to explore hidden corners of Widcombe, or to show off the glories of
this lovely corner of Bath to guests. And every year the number of new
visitors increases with the event itself. So come and enjoy an
artistic adventure in Widcombe. Who knows – you might discover
something new this Spring!
Wherever you visit you will have a warm welcome, and an opportunity to
discuss the wide range of works on offer with the artists themselves.
The Art Trail will take you to all corners of Widcombe, which is one
of Bath’s hidden gems with wonderful architecture, gardens and
countryside views. Pedestrian access from the city centre is just over
the footbridge behind Bath Spa station.
The nearest large car parks are at Southgate, Avon Street and the
Cricket Ground. Widcombe has various possibilities for street parking
(unrestricted on Sundays). Perrymead and Widcombe Hill (above Tyning
End) offer unrestricted parking at all times.
Please note that as many venues are private houses, there may be
uneven surfaces and stairs making them unsuitable for wheelchair and
disabled visitors. Please phone individual venues for more information
(see website for details). Widcombe Social Club is wheelchair
friendly.
Workshops are available at some venues and should be pre-booked. Some
artists will be offering demonstrations. Full details will be found at
