THE SNOWMAN – FOR THE BENEFIT OF BATH PHILHARMONIA
December 22, 2016 @ 3:30 pm
£12 – £18
Bath Philharmonia, Bath’s very own professional orchestra, will perform Howard Blake’s music live to Raymond Briggs’ magical animated film ‘The Snowman’. First broadcast on Channel 4 in 1982, The Snowman has been an annual favourite ever since. Blake’s reputation rests very squarely on the success of the acclaimed children’s film, and particularly on its haunting theme ‘Walking in the Air’.
And if that wasn’t enough to tempt you, in the first half of their concert, Bath Philharmonia will dazzle and delight all ages with a performance of classical favourites, The Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice by Dukas played live to a screening of the classic Disney film Fantasia.
TKTS: UNDER 16s £12.00 / FULL PRICE £18.00 (+ booking fee per ticket)**
(Babes in arms may sit on their parent/carer’s lap however anyone aged 2 or above must have their own ticket and reserved seat.)
