Sixty Minute Choir

On Sunday 22nd April at 2pm, Matt Finch is inviting the community to
join him in a “pop-up choir” in Southgate Shopping centre for just
60 minutes and raise lots of money for Cancer Research. Please log on
to the website, donate some money and then download the music/lyrics
in preparation for the rehearsal and performance in the open air!

Matt Finch leads many choirs in around Bath, and at the moment many of
his friends in these different choirs and drama groups are battling
with Cancer. Currently 1 in 3 people suffer with Cancer at some point
in their lives which means on a daily basis we are all probably
talking to someone who has, is or will have to deal with Cancer.

How to join Sixty Minute Choir:
You can just turn up on the day, but if you would like your own copy
of the lyrics or music (which really does help!) you must donate some
money to Cancer Research.

WHO:
Everyone is invited – so please bring a friend to join in. Matt Finch
is organising the choir and has over 25 years of directing choirs
(www.finchmusic.co.uk for more details) – so you will be in safe, fun
and encouraging hands!

WHAT:
If you want to find out what we are going to sing in the hour, your
will need to donate some money to Cancer Research. When you have
donated, your will see a message which includes a password to get you
into the Download/Music tab – but it will be something well known and
in 3 part harmony.

HOW:
Donate some money to Cancer Research, download the music/lyrics and
turn up for an hour and sing. Please bring a stool/chair if you are
unable to stand for the hour. If 100 people come and all donate £5 –
we have made a whopping £500 in just 1 hour – and had a lovely time
singing.

RAIN STOP PLAY?
If the weather folk decide that it will definitely be raining in the
afternoon, the event will be cancelled – so check back here on the
website on the morning just to be sure that it’s going ahead!

their families and friends are battling with Cancer. Apart from
lending a sympathetic ear, I have felt a bit useless and wanted to
help. Running a marathon, shaving your hair seems to be the obvious
answer – but I’m not sure I’m any good at that! I know I can bring
together people and teach them harmony singing quite quickly – so a
