Samantha Harvey in Bath

From the acclaimed author of The Wilderness and All is Song, Harvey’s new novel, Dear Thief, is a story of female friendship, betrayal and imagination.

A woman begins to write a letter that recalls the shared past of two women. At first a letter of friendship, it soon becomes an accusation and offering of respite, gradually revealing a complex relationship driven by an old betrayal.

Dear Thief is beautifully written and contains all the thoughtfulness and intensity that made her first two novels such a joy to read. Join us for an inspirational evening with a novelist at the height of her powers.
