Schubert Piano Sonata in C minor, D.958
Schubert Piano Sonata in A, D.959
Schubert Piano Sonata in B-flat, D.960
Hearing Richard Goode play Schubert is an unforgettable spiritual experience. The intensity of expression combined with wonderful serenity make him one of the truly great musicians of our time. To hear him play Schubert’s final three piano sonatas will be a privilege. Richard Goode is one the great interpreters of Classical and Romantic music, and this will be a special opportunity for audiences in Bath to catch him while in the UK.
“that golden singing sound, along with Goode’s keen imagination, intelligence and sensitivity, made this an unforgettable performance” – Washington Post
“ever subtle and ever supple, he maintained a fragile fusion of virtuosity and introspection” – Financial Times
