Promise & Promiscuity – with Penny Ashton – Matinee

Follow the fortunes of Miss Elspeth Slowtree (played by the charmingly accomplished New Zealander Penny Ashton) as she battles snobbery, her mother’s nerves and Cousin Horatio, armed only with a superior wit, blushing countenance and generally being quite bright… you know… for a girl. Balls will be attended, crosses will be stitched and manners will be minded. Delight in finding the 33 Austen references and quotes dotted throughout this otherwise original production from the 5^th great niece of Thomas Langlois Lefroy.
