On Saturday 5th September we will be hosting our annual Memory Trail.
The Memory Trail is a fundraising walk suitable for the whole family.
There will be two walks to choose from; a 3.5 mile and a 7 mile for
the adventurous, all with spectacular views and historical sites to
enjoy along the route.

The routes travel through the countryside around the villages of
Monkton Combe and Limpley Stoke, with the longer walk also passing
through Midford.

Both walks will take participants past the Monkton Combe Viaduct,
Dundas Aqueduct and along a section of the Kennett and Avon Canal. The
Longer walk will go on to the now unused Midford Railways station,
along a part of the Two Tunnels path, which follows a section of the
old Somerset and Dorset railway, and past the Tucking Mill Reservoir
and Viaduct.

Walkers can picnic at one of the beautiful spots along the way, or
stop for lunch at one of the wonderful pub restaurants en-route. There
will also be light refreshments available at Monkton Combe Village
Hall.

Participants can raise sponsorship if they wish to, however this is
only optional as the contributions made through registration fees are
still very valuable to us.

The starting point and registration will be Monkton Combe Village Hall
between 10:00am and 12:00 noon.

Entry fees are; £5 per adult, £2.50 per junior, or £12 per family*
(*A family can be up to 5 members, maximum 2 adults).
