Literary Walk: Bath’s Forgotten Romantics
March 8, 2015 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
£8 – £9
Bath’s heritage industry is fixated on Jane Austen, but the city’s association with some of her equally famous contemporaries is largely ignored. Mary Shelley, for example, wrote much of ‘Frankenstein’ in Bath, Coleridge almost died here, and De Quincey is one of King Edward School’s most famous old boys. Join Andrew Swift and Kirsten Elliott on a walk to discover a forgotten part of Bath’s literary heritage.
