Continuing our song theme we present an event specially created for Bath International Music Festival. World-renowned British jazz pianist Jason Rebello joins the Prince Consort for a unique concert that will explore celebrated voice and piano repertoire with a twist. Alisdair Hogarth and Jason Rebello at two pianos will be joined by Prince Consort member, tenor Nicholas Mulroy, and mezzo soprano Anna Huntley, for an exploration of some of the greatest songs of all time, including works by Schubert, Schumann, Debussy, Brahms and Gershwin.

Jason Rebello’s strong technique, diversity and adaptability have led him to a host of collaborations across the musical spectrum, from Sting, to Madeleine Peyroux to Jeff Beck. Anna Huntley is a ‘fast rising British talent’ (The Guardian), celebrated for her ability to get ‘right under the skin of the character … with a superbly placed sense of drama’ – The Scotsman.

“Rebello reveals that pop, soul and complex, jazz textures are not polar opposites but joyful places on the spectrum that is simply great music” – Jazzwise

“Sexy neo-soul, jazz, funk, Latin grooves and the sweeter end of jazz-fusion combine in a joyous cocktail of broad stylistic—and commercial—appeal.” – All About Jazz
