Inspired by 18th century artefacts she encountered in her work at a museum, Imogen Hermes Gowar wrote 2018’s most anticipated debut, The Mermaid and Mrs Hancock. In this lecture, she shares some of her knowledge of Georgian society and takes us on a journey into a period marked by social change and new discoveries.
