Capturing the look that epitomises the year in fashion

Ever since the Fashion Museum first came to Bath as the Museum of Costume in 1963, the museum has invited a distinguished fashion expert to select their ‘Dress of the Year’, a look that epitomises the year in fashion. The collection includes designs by Mary Quant, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent and Prada. In 2013 influential fashion blogger Susie Lau (aka Susie Bubble) selected a sugar pink silk organza lace and gem dress with black gaffer taped by Christopher Kane for the award. KATIE GRAND Editor-in-Chief of LOVE Magazine and one of the major names in fashion today is to select the Fashion Museum’s annual DRESS of the YEAR award for 2014 which will be on display at the Fashion Museum during Bath in Fashion 2015. Fashion Museum Manager Rosemary Harden said “Katie Grand is a highly regarded fashion stylist and creative consultant, and we are so thrilled that she will join the Hall of Fame list of fashion greats who have selected the Fashion Museum’s Dress of the Year collection since the scheme started back in 1963.”
