Catch-22

Joseph Heller’s own stage adaptation of his iconic satirical novel Catch-22 portrays the brutal insanity of war with bitter, stinging humour. The logical irrationality of military bureaucracy is told in the darkly comic story of Yossarian, a bombardier who refuses to die.

“They’re not going to send a crazy man out there to be killed. But who else will go?”

Playing Up Theatre Company bring over 40 characters from this intensively brilliant satire to the stage in a story with recognition for all of us, coping with the lunacy present in our day to day systems.
