BBC Ten Pieces with Kidenza

PRESENTED BY BATH ABBEY’S SCHOOLS’ SINGING PROGRAMME AND BATH
PRIMARY SCHOOLS’ ARTS FESTIVAL

A fun and interactive evening of orchestral music and the perfect
introduction for youngsters who have never experienced live classical
music. The programme is exciting, familiar, educational and above all,
promises to be simply brilliant family entertainment. It will feature
well-known classics including most of The BBC Ten Pieces, which range
from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 to John Adams’ Short Ride in a
Fast Machine. If the names of the pieces of music aren’t familiar,
the tunes certainly will be!

Selected pieces will be accompanied by a unique blend of digital
animation presenting a multi-sensory experience. There will also be
lots of activities for the audience to participate in throughout the
concert.

About BBC Ten Pieces

An ambitious new initiative which aims to open up the world of
classical music to children – and to inspire them to develop their own
creative responses to the pieces through music, dance or digital art.
Kidenza is one of over 200 champions who are helping to deliver this

About Kidenza

Formed 6 years ago but converted to CIC (Community interest company)
in October 2013. They are a fully professional orchestra performing
classical concerts for children. Their mission is to introduce
children to the world of classical music and inspire them to want to
learn a musical instrument. Their concerts are fun, educational and
