Bath Spring Foraging Courses

Our spring foraging course in Bath will be approximately a three hour walk taking in Follets Wood and the River Avon.

This course is a simple foraging walk where we hope to be able to identify a selection of Spring shoots and edible plants and flowers, plus some edible Spring mushrooms.

We will meet in the garden of the Fox and Hounds Pub at 12pm. The course starts there with a 20 minute introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers.

The surrounding area should provide us plenty to choose from to identify and sample, plus plenty of poisonous species to avoid.Wild Garlic 300

We’ll stop for some lovely home made wild food soup somewhere along the way.

After a 2 to 3 hour walk around the woods we will go back to The Fox and Hounds to discuss and taste our finds.

We will email all of you details of all the plants we find to help you remember what you have learnt.

Under 16 Year olds are eligible for a Junior Ticket
