Early in his career Philip Higham won the Leipzig Bach Competition which gives his interpretations invincible authority as he continues his traversal of Bach’s wonderful works for solo cello with their extraordinary range of musical expression.

This is part 2 of our series of all the Bach cello suites.

“Philip Higham is undoubtedly one of the most impressive young British cellists I have heard in a decade, possessing that rare combination of refined technique with subtle and expressive musicianship …he has all the qualities of a world-class artist.” – The Strad, review of Wigmore Hall concert
