Vera Brittain was a writer, feminist and pacifist, best known for her best-selling memoir ‘Testament of Youth’, recounting her World War I experiences. Olivier Award winner Annette Badland (EastEnders, Dr Who, Little Voice, The Archers) reads from the books and the poems and letters of Brittain’s fiance Roland Leighton, who was killed on the Front.
