AN AUSTEN REGENCY CHRISTMAS – WITH MR ADAMS THE BUTLER

With Interval

There WAS a Christmas before the Victorians… and Samuel Adams, the Butler in a grand Regency House, will delight in telling you all about it! Christmas was, for the ‘upper-levels’ in society, a quiet time spent with friends and family, enjoying good food and wine. It was for the ‘lesser sort’ to maintain the old traditions. Hear of decorations, carolling, fun and games! The performance, is supported by a range of period-accurate items and complimented by a series of readings that tell of the very essence of a Georgian Christmas.
