Prior Park Landscape Garden

Prior Park Landscape Garden, created in the 18th century by local entrepreneur Ralph Allen and designed by the poet Alexander Pope and the landscape gardener Capability Brown, is now owned and managed by the National Trust.
Pictured is one of only four Palladian bridges of this design in the world. A Palladian Bridge is a roofed bridge in the style of the great Venetian architect Andrea Palladio (1508–1580).
The garden is set in a steep valley and offers good views of the City Of Bath. There are steep slopes, steps and uneven paths in the garden so visit well prepared and take care.
There is disabled parking only. The gardens can be reached via a very steep 1 mile walk from Bath Spa railway station. From the rear of the railway station continue to Widcombe shopping parade and then turn into Prior Park Road and prepare yourself for the lengthy uphill climb!
