BATH FESTIVALS BEETHOVEN ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

March 27 @ 7:30 pm - May 24 @ 9:30 pm

£26 – £35

Bath is joining worldwide celebrations to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Beethoven with Bath Festivals staging a series of six concerts of the composer’s entire cycle of 16 String Quartets.

Three of the concerts will take place in March, with three more in May, during The Bath Festival, forming part of a global programme of musical and cultural tributes to the world’s best known composer. The Bath Festivals Beethoven String Quartets cycle will be performed by the Carducci String Quartet in March and the Heath Quartet in May, two of the finest string quartets in the world. The six concerts will be augmented by an illuminating talk about the music and its composer, by Classic FM broadcaster John Suchet, author of Beethoven: The Man Revealed.

The six Bath Festivals concerts will take place on: Friday 27 March, 7.30pm, Saturday 28 March 11am and Sunday 29 March, 11am, all at the Guildhall, Bath, Friday 22 May, 7.30pm, Saturday 23 May, 11am and Sunday 24 May, 11am, all at the Assembly Rooms, Bath.

Tickets are £12, £26 and £35. Concessions are half price.
